Hi - I two quick questions.

1. Is there any value in confirming pingbacks? I have always assumed they just create a recipricol link and so shouldn't do it - but is this right?

2. How do you stop the notifications about them? I have disabled them in wordpresses settings>disucssion tab. I don't seem to have the option to change individual page settings. Recieveing 50 + a day at the moment and I would like them to stop!
