I have an ecom site that google seems to visit every day. Sometime I watch the pages it crawls through the Who's Online tool.
I'm looking right now at a google bot that has been crawling the site for over 2 hours. Is this normal? I guess I figured that a crawl would take only seconds, if even that.
Maybe the google bot is drunk, since it is friday night afterall.
Or maybe it just needs some oil, or it has some dain bramage?
Or maybe I have some dain bramage? Why else would I be giving such a stupid reply at 1:00 on a friday night?
Anyways, I wouldn't worry about it. Probably just a fluke.
Or maybe google is eye balling your site right before they de-index the whole thing? Perhaps someone has taken manual control of the google robot!!!
LOL just kidding. Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it. The more popular your site gets, the more often google comes to visit/spider/index/check for new content.
