Hi All,

Quick question: is this guy asking for the impossible?

http://www.scriptlance.com/projects/1278503412.shtml?hl=link%20building

The reason I ask is I've just signed up for a month's IMA link building from Pragmites to test them out. I know what link building methods they will be using as i've used them (and had success with them) in the past.

I was also thinking about adding myself to freelance sites to do link building for other clients, but these budgets seem ridiculously cheap, and most of them are asking for non blog comments, non articles high PR, permanent pages etc.

I'd like to know, is this even attainable? I mean, other than article marketing, blog posting, forum sigs, profile links, blog blueprint, link blueprint, what other methods of link building are there out there. You read about the expert SEO's creating 'Link Bait' by creating a widget or writing posts about really interesting things, hoping it goes viral etc, but these are really skilled methods, and certainly couldn't be done for $100. Are the people offering these 'genuine backlink' services simply promising something they can't deliver?

I need a lot of things that I can't get for nothing.

This person is clearly insane.

I'd love to see if he could even get 1,000 permanent PR3 or PR4 links for $10,000!

You'll see this all the time on outsourcing websites, always entertaining.

Most of the replies aren't 'fakes', instead they'll say something like: "oh we can't do that, but here's what we can do"

HAH - HAH - HAH!  Reading the list of the impossible added some levity to my lunch break - thanks.  Yes, I had noticed a few job requests like this back when I looked through some (I don't any more).  A real kicker on some I've seen is the demand for high PR (at least 3-4) links that all must be right on the desired topic.  To get those, I imagine you would have to just buy lots of aged high PR domains and then build some of the content on them.  You'd also have to think how to set it up so that the Google spies don't catch on because I believe they don't want people buying or manipulating large networks of sites to skew the search rankings.
