Main advantage being that you can allow hippoJaw to do conversion tracking for you. So if you're not worried about that, then no real need to change.

Phil: I have followed the instructions to the max. I have installed the script on my pages and get the hippo tracking notice. My hippo jumps are are installed and recording corectly. When the keyword is activated the landing page appears and shows the correct keyword. However when the hop takes place the key word is not being passed through to clickbank even though Hippojaw is recording a hop. When you click on the hyperlink it does not pass the keyword to clickbank so it does not appear in my tracking or on the payment page. I have watched your video 5 times and i have done everything exactly as indicated. Any ideas about what I am doing wrong?

RE reply # 32 & 33, I guess this matter was resolved off-line? I'm in the same boat. I inserted the tracking script above the </body> tag in Wordpress, using the Atahualpa theme. I got the "hippojaw is installed" logo. I appended: ?id=test1 to the end of my url and refreshed the page. When I proceed through my page, the sales page and to the clickbank page, at the bottom is my clickbank id and the keyword id is "qesurg06". ?? It's very consistent. I'm getting the statement (keyword id not passed) on my hippojaw report. Any idea what I should do?
Thanks a bunch.

Phil ... Forgive my ignorance, but do the redirects act as a cloking devise, or is there still a need to have this also?

Yes, they can be seen as a cloaking method for sure.

Hi -- I just set up my HippoJump redirects for the first time today.
IN the "Live Traffic" report -- Can we track how many times an individual Hippo Jump is clicked or do they all show up in the traffic report with the same name "hippojump" ?

Phil, I'm trying to wrap my brain around the concept of HippoJump. Is the purpose of HippoJump to cloak hoplinks, or is it a tracking feature? The reason I ask is because when setting up an Adwords campaign in HipoJaw, HippoJaw ascribes a random string of characters for each keyword, which is obviously for tracking purposes. So, if HippoJump is for tracking purposes also, is that overkill? Or are they both tracking different things? If I am missing something very obvious, please forgive my ignorance! Brad.

Hi,
Again - no expert proviso.
I use it to cloak the link for a start.
Then you can have different ones for each place you put the link, so, can track a bit where people click.
Whereas the other random character tracking - tracks what happened with the KW.
All the best..Sam
